Mars is a topic of popular discussion because of the implications for future habitation of humans. For centuries, Mars has always been of fascination to astronomers. After the success of the twin rover mission- Spirit and Opportunity- a new project was in the works which would change how we view the red planet. This presentation will cover the creation of Curiosity, the launch and landing, why the landing site was important and what we have learned over the past 10 years!
