This is an in person program for ages 5 - 15. Program title: Bennu and OSIRIS-REx Date: Monday December 9, 2024 Time: 4:30-5:15 pm Description: On October 20, 2020, the spacecraft OSIRIS-REx landed on asteroid Bennu! This was our first attempt to pogo off an asteroid in order to collect samples. The samples from this mission returned to Earth in 2023. We will learn about the origins of the asteroid Bennu and the OSIRIS-REx mission! An OSIRIS-REx craft will follow.
