Teens and adults (ages 12+) are invited to a one-of-a-kind, after-hours experience at the Kent Library on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 PM. Join us for Sound Bath in the Stacks—a soothing, immersive sound meditation led by meditation teacher Lindsey O'Connell.
No yoga poses, no meditation experience, no “woo” required—just come as you are. Nestled between the shelves, you’ll be guided through gentle breathwork followed by a full-body sound journey using crystal singing bowls, chimes, and grounding instruments.
Sound baths have been shown to reduce stress, calm anxiety, improve sleep, and enhance focus by activating your body’s natural “rest and digest” mode. Think of it as a massage for your mind.
Wear cozy clothes, bring a blanket or mat, and prepare to unwind in the peaceful heart of the library.
