🎭 Theater Arts Summer Workshop is Back! 🎭
Get ready to take the stage! Our Theater Arts Summer Workshop is returning for the 2025 season, and we couldn’t be more excited! Join Miss Chris, Miss Dayna, and friends for another unforgettable summer filled with singing, dancing, and acting.
This year, we’re diving into the delightfully spooky and kooky world of The Addams Family YOUTH EDITION! 💀🕸️ Young actors will explore this hilariously haunting musical, where everyone’s favorite creepy and kooky family comes to life on stage. Expect quirky characters, catchy tunes, and plenty of laughs as the Addams clan faces a night of chaos when they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents!
PLEASE BE AWARE:ALL REGISTRANTS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY PLACED ON A WAITLIST AND LET IN AS SPACE ALLOWS AND AT THE DISCRETION OF MAHOPAC AND KENT LIBRARIES. PLEASE WAIT FOR A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM US CONFIRMING YOUR PLACEMENT IN THIS PROGRAM.
Rehearsal Details:
🌞 June: Mondays, 4:30-6:00
🌙 July: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30-6:00
📅 Mandatory Saturday: August 2nd (between 10 am and 3 pm, exact time TBD)
🎭 Mandatory Tech Week: August 4th - 7th 4:30-6:30 (actors must attend every day)
🌟 Performance Dates: Weekend of Friday August 8th and Saturday August 9th
🚨 Important: Our performance space is still to be determined (FYI...These performances may take place in the upstairs community room of the Mahopac Public Library this year). Rehearsals will be held at Mahopac and Kent Library.
🏫 Priority Registration: Open to students from the Carmel Central School District and Mahopac Central School District. All others may be accepted as space allows, at the library’s discretion.
Please make sure you are available for all mandatory dates before registering. We can’t wait to see our talented young actors bring The Addams Family to life!
*Actors will be given audition materials via email after registration is "Complete." All actors will audition on Monday, May 5th from 4:30-6:00 at Mahopac Public Library. If you are registered but cannot attend auditions, please contact Miss Chris at storyhours@kentlibrary.org for other audition options.
