Event Details

Join us for Woof-O-Ween at the Library, a Halloween celebration for dogs and their humans of all ages! Bring your furry friends in costume and take part in our Paw-rade of Costumes, where we’ll stroll around the library so everyone can admire the pups. We’ll award Best in Show prizes in four fun categories: Funniest Costume, Most Creative, Best Owner/Dog Duo, and Best Literary Costume.

Throughout the event, pups can visit our Trick for a Treat Booth, where performing a simple trick like “sit,” “shake,” or “spin” earns them a tasty Halloween dog treat. The booth will also be decorated as a festive photo spot for memorable pictures. Try your luck with Guess the Treat Jar by estimating how many dog treats are inside for a chance to win a prize, or join in on the Musical Sit game, where the last pup to sit when the music stops takes the title. Creative canines can make a keepsake at our Paw Painting station using non-toxic, washable paint to stamp their paw prints onto paper.

We’ll also host a Pup-kin Storytime, featuring a short Halloween dog-themed tale with music. Whether you come for the costumes, the games, or just the puppy love, Woof-O-Ween is sure to be a tail-wagging good time!

PLUS, a special visit from our friends at Incredible Pups Pet Rescue. They'll be on-site to give you a ton of information about how you can foster or adopt a puppy.
